WILLOWBROOK, Ill. (CBS) -- Bond has been denied for a 23-year-old DuPage County man accused in the murder of another man earlier this week near Willowbrook.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bob Roberts reports, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin says the dispute had brewed for weeks over a marijuana deal gone bad, involving suspect Juan Cuellar, 23, of Willowbrook, and the brother of victim Joshua Holmes.

"It's not a gang-motivated case," Berlin said. "Really, the motive is this dispute over this $90 marijuana deal."
Berlin says Cuellar allegedly pulled a gun on Holmes the two ran into each other outside a fast food restaurant just off Illinois Route 83 Monday evening.
Cuellar allegedly circled the block and exchanged words, and shot Holmes five times. Afterward, he allegedly got out of his car, kicked Holmes' body, and asked if he'd had enough.
Around 6:35 p.m., DuPage County Sheriff's police came to the area of Honeysuckle Rose and Hyacinth lanes in unincorporated Willowbrook after calls of shots fired. They found Holmes, who was taken to Hinsdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Cuellar was ordered held without bond at a hearing Thursday in DuPage County court.
Cuellar's mother, Elva Hernandez, 42, stands charged with two felony counts of obstructing justice, after allegedly dumping the murder weapon in the Fox River. A fisherman recovered it.
Cuellar is due back in court Oct. 10 before DuPage County Judge Daniel Guerin.
