Man Charged In Oak Forest Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Chicago man has been charged in connection with a Sunday shooting in southwest suburban Oak Forest that left one man injured.
Luis Gonzalez, 33, of the 5500 block of South Kolin, was charged Monday with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and vehicular invasion, according to a statement from the Cook County Sheriff's office.
Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in bond court in Bridgeview Tuesday.
About 5:15 p.m. Sunday, police were called after a shooting was reported at Bachelor Grove Woods forest preserve at 147th and Ridgeland during a soccer match attended by an estimated 2,000 people, police said.
A 47-year-old Harvey man was shot, and he was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released, police said.
