Two Charged In Fatal Gang-Related Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) --Two teenagers have been charged in the fatal gang-related shooting of a South Side man last month.
Anthony Wells, 18, and Omar Gunn, 17, were identified by witnesses who saw them take off their hoodies and take out a gun in the hood of a car after the Sept. 13 shooting, Cook County prosecutors said,
Wells was the lookout when Gunn chased Jaleel Pearson into a store in the 2200 block of East 71st Street and shot him twice in the arm and chest, authorities said.
Pearson's alleged killers were rival gang members, prosecutors said.
Wells, of the 7100 block of South Jeffrey Boulevard, cried in court after Judge Israel Desierto ordered him held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Gunn was denied bond.
