Man Charged In Fatal Crash After Police Chase
(CBS) -- A Chicago man has been charged after a fatal crash on the South Side following a police chase Monday evening.
Paul Forbes, 26, has been charged with murder, aggravated fleeing and aggravated battery. Police say sped off during a traffic stop in the 7500 block of South St. Lawrence.
As police gave chase, they say Forbes struck a Subaru in the intersection of 75th Street and King Drive, and then hit 66-year-old Willie Owens, who was changing the battery in his pickup truck. The impact pushed the pickup into a Chevrolet Cruze in front of it.
Four other people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
