Man Charged After South Side Barricade Situation
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man involved in a barricade situation that began late Friday inside a Woodlawn residence was ordered held on $100,000 bond Sunday.
Deeldran Jackson, 24, of the 14500 block of South Emerald in Riverdale, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and domestic battery, both misdemeanors, according to police News Affairs.
Authorities responded about 10:10 p.m. Friday to a possible domestic situation after shots were fired inside a residence in the 6300 block of South Eberhart Avenue, police said.
The police Hostage, Barricade and Terrorist unit was on the scene at 10:45 p.m. because it was believed somebody -- later identified as Jackson -- was barricaded inside, police said.
Jackson was arrested about 1:15 a.m. Saturday and the scene was secured soon after.
He also received citations for violating city ordinances regarding firearm permit and registration requirements.
Jackson appeared in bond court Sunday. His next court date is Feb. 7.
