Man Breaks Into Five Guys, Cooks Up A Burger

(CBS) -- Hamburglar Alert: A man slipped into a Five Guys and helped himself to a burger and soda.

The motive? He was hungry? Who knows.

What is clear is that the suspect was quite comfortable around a grill, casually flipping two patties--even toasting the bun--all while talking on his mobile phone.

The burglary happened at a Five Guys restaurant in the 1400 block of Irving Street NW in Washington, D.C., sometime between 3:10 a.m. and 5:05 a.m. on March 18, police said.

Washington D.C. police posted the surveillance video on You Tube in hopes of catching the thief.

The video begins with the suspect helping himself to a drink from the soda machine, before he makes his way into the cooking area.

"A suspect followed a delivery man into the restaurant and waited until the delivery man left," police said in news release.

"He then rummaged through the establishment, cooked food, and stole bottled water before leaving the restaurant."
