Man Assaults Same Teenage Girl Twice In Rogers Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police hope a new sketch will help them find a suspect who attacked the same teenage girl twice in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
Both of the attacks occurred near Howard Street and Ridge Boulevard this week.
Police say the girl, 15, was walking to a bus stop around 5 p.m. on Halloween Monday, when the man raced up from behind on a bicycle, grabbed the girl and brought her to an alley where he fondled her.
On Wednesday about 8 a.m. near the same area, the man again encountered the girl. He chased her but she was able to get away and police were called.
The suspect is black, 20 to 25 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, with a dark complexion and facial stubble. He was last seen wearing a solid black hooded sweatshirt, red checkered shirt, blue jeans and black/red/white/gray gym shoes. He was riding a blue mountain bike, a police community alert said.
A sketch of the suspect has been released.
Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 744-8261.
