Man Arrested After 3-Hour Standoff In Morgan Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was arrested Friday morning, after barricading himself inside a Morgan Park neighborhood building for three hours.
The standoff in the 10700 block of South Church Street began about 2:30 a.m., and ended about 5:30 a.m. when responding officers finally took the man into custody, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said. Charges are pending.
He did not have any hostages, Mirabelli said. Information about why the man barricaded himself in the building has not been learned.
Police closed some roads around the building during the response, but reopened them by the time of the morning rush.
