Man Armed With Hammer Robs Park Ridge Bank
PARK RIDGE, Ill. (STMW) -- A man armed with a hammer robbed a bank Monday in northwest suburban Park Ridge.
The man entered the TCF Bank branch in the 0-99 block of West Devon Avenue and robbed it with a hammer, according to the FBI. He got away with an unknown amount of cash.
The robber is described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2 white man with a medium build, the FBI said. He was wearing a white hat, white shirt, white jeans, black sunglasses and carrying a backpack.
The FBI classified the theft as a non-take-over robbery and no injuries were reported. A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
