CHICAGO (STMW) - A 15-year-old boy from Skokie was found shot to death late Friday on the Far North Side near the Evanston border.
The victim was found unresponsive with several gunshot wounds about 10:50 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Juneway Terrace, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was identified as Anton Sanders, 15, of Skokie, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene in the 1800 block of West Juneway Terr., according to the medical examiner's office.
His body was found near the Evanston border, just south of Calvary Cemetery, a release from Evanston police said.
According to Evanston police, Belmont Area detectives were investigating this shooting along with the shooting death of a security guard at a River North Walgreens Friday night and the death from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot to the head of a man in an Evanston alley Saturday. The man who shot himself in the head in Evanston was believed to have shot the Walgreens security guard, Chicago police said, but they would not say as of Saturday afternoon if the shooting of Sanders was in any way connected to the other two incidents.
