Major Delays On South Shore Line
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A power failure on the South Shore line in Northwest Indiana is causing a major headache for commuters this morning.
Overhead power was disrupted between Michigan City Carroll Avenue and East Chicago.
While power has now been restored, morning rush hour trains are out of sequence and running 45 minutes to over an hour late from Michigan City to Chicago.
Eastbound Trains 203 and 205 will turn at East Chicago and load and go back to Chicago.
Riders can expect significant delays between Michigan City and East Chicago.
