Officials say Mrs. Daley's condition is stable.
Speaking from London, where he is traveling Monday, Mrs. Daley's doctor, Steven Rosen, emphasized that the latest hospitalization has nothing to do with her cancer.
Dr. Rosen says Mrs. Daley is being treated with antibiotics and given fluids. It might be a result of an infection she contracted while in the hospital for 10 days last month.
Mrs. Daley was just released from the hospital on Friday, also after complaining of flu-like symptoms. Two days earlier, she had been released following recuperation from surgery to replace a metal rod in her right leg. The procedure was necessary because of her ongoing cancer treatments.
Mrs. Daley has battled breast cancer since 2002. It later metastasized to her bones.
