Mag Mile Hotel Dedicates Suite To Ron Santo
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Cubs fans can celebrate the start of a new season in a hotel room devoted to the late Ron Santo.
As WBBM Newsradio's Nancy Harty reports, the Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel, 909 N. Michigan Ave., is now offering a Santo Suite.
The Santo Suite is room 1000, to honor old number ten.
It has, in addition to some amazing views of the Mag Mile, photos of Santo and a replica of his 1969 jersey that his family donated.
Guests will receive ballpark snacks and complimentary copies of a book and DVD about Santo.
But the suite won't come cheap. It will cost you $600, of which $100 will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for Type 1 diabetes research.

Santo's son, Ron Santo Jr., was at a ribbon cutting for the suite on Wednesday.
He says his family was eager to continue his late father's legacy.
Santo Sr. died of bladder cancer in 2010. He is slated to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on July 22.
