Spiegel's Docket: Ventura, LBJ And Much More
By Matt Spiegel-
(CBS) So much to jam in to our four-hour bag on a glorious Friday in the city.
White Sox manager Robin Ventura is slated to join us in the 11 o'clock hour. He'll light up our phone lines, no doubt. Seriously though, the man's calm demeanor has clearly been a plus to a high performance team so far.
Chris Mannix from Sports Illustrated, one of the best there is, will talk NBA playoffs with us at 10:40.
Mac, Finji, and Shep went to Sox-Jays, and will lord over us all feeling superior about their support of a first-place team. Just a guess. Looking forward to stories from the park, and perspective on a good win to avoid the sweep.
I stayed home and watched LeBron James be as good as I have ever seen him. Remember all those years we called for LeBron to have "in-between" game? Floaters, mid-range jumpers, post moves? It was all there, in devastating fashion. How do you defend that? The Celtics never battled back enough to see if he would keep it up in crunch time.
Babe LaHair hits a big one, but the Cubs still lose.
Some Walmart employees in Missouri have cut out the Meth middle man.
Musically, we'll enjoy some Friday 8-tracks, with a fancy Finji sponsorship to boot.
See you on the airplane.
