Low-Income Women Treated To Free Makeover
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Dozens of women on the Southwest Side were the recipients of a real out-of-the-ordinary Thanksgiving treat Monday.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports, the Capri Beauty College in the Marquette Park neighborhood gave low-income women a free beauty makeover.
"They come in sometimes feeling kind of down. When they leave, they strut," said the Rev. Gregory Livingston.

Dorita Hall was getting her hair done for the first time in 20 years.
"I raised five children, I'm raising grandchildren, and a $60 hairstyle is not in my budget," Hall said.
She says her family will be speechless when she walks in for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.
"You know how people see something and they hang with their mouth open? That's what I'm going to get."
Hairstylists such as Queen Thompson volunteer their time.
"Everybody's full of joy today, so it's really nice," she said.
