Loop Bank Branch Robbed

CHICAGO (STMW) - A man robbed a Loop bank branch Tuesday afternoon.

About 3:05 p.m. the man walked into the bank, demanded money and fled the scene, police News Affairs officer Veejay Zala said.

The robbery occurred at the Chicago Community Bank branch at 52 E. Lake St., according to an FBI spokeswoman.

FBI agents were at the scene and no additional information was immediately available.

There have been at least 58 bank robberies in the Chicago area this year, according to the FBI.
