Look For Pop-Up Opera During Opera Week

CHICAGO (AP) - Opera could pop up almost anywhere in Chicago during National Opera Week.

Chicago Opera Theater and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs have planned some short performances of opera classics in surprising locations.

And it's a secret. The groups will drop hints about exact locations and times of the "Pop-Up Opera'' events, starting this week. Hints can be found on the Chicago Opera Theater website and by following ChicagoOpera on Twitter.

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley has declared Opera Week in Chicago.
