Stefanski held a Master's in Divinity, Licentiate of Sacred Theology, and A Master's in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.
From 1979 to 1997, Stefanski served as associate pastor for several area churches. They included St. Mary Parish, 1012 Lake St. in Evanston; St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish, 6435 S.
