Lollapalooza Tickets Still Available Through Brokers
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Lollapalooza might be sold out, and officials have said they expect 300,000 people to attend the three-day music festival, but many tickets were still in the hands of ticket brokers on Friday.
Gold Coast Ticket Partner Max Waisvisz said he has too many tickets still unsold, and admitted he over-estimated demand for Lollapalooza, which is now in its 10th year at Grant Park.
Waisvisz said he's offering three-day passes for $250 – face value.
"We're trying to push everyone to buy the three-day passes, but if we tell them they need just a single day, we charge $200, so it's definitely a much better deal to buy a three-day pass," he said. "Some people, what they do, is they might use the pass one day, and then they'll give it to a friend, and they'll use it another day."

Gold Coast is selling general admission tickets for Sunday for as low as $145 each, and tickets for Saturday for a minimum of $200.
The main entrance is at the corner of Michigan and Congress, with a second entrance at Columbus & Monroe. Ticket holders should register their wristbands in advance so they can buy food and merchandise with a credit card linked to their wristband. Express lanes will be available for fans who don't bring bags.
Gates open at 11 a.m. each day, and the festival ends at 10 p.m. each night.
Lollapalooza fans might need to bring along an umbrella on Friday and Saturday, as scattered showers are possible both days.
It shouldn't be anything like 2012, when Lollapalooza had to be evacuated on its second day due to a severe thunderstorm. Just in case, though, organizers have planned three evacuation shelters if there is severe weather: the Grant Park North garage at 25 N. Michigan Av., through the vehicle entrance on Michigan between Washington and Madison; the Grant Park South garage at 325 S. Michigan Av., through the vehicle ramp on Michigan between Jackson and Van Buren; and the East Monroe Street garage at 5 S. Columbus Dr., through the vehicle ramp on Michigan between Jackson and Adams.
