Woman Shot Multiple Times Found In Back Yard Of Lockport Township Home
CHICAGO (CBS) - A 52-year-old woman was found covered in blood in the back yard of a residence in unincorporated Lockport Township overnight.
According to the Will County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to 219 Riverview Ave at 12:34 a.m. Friday for a call of shots fired.
A man who was inside the house Thursday night said about five people got together to watch the Bears game, and one woman walked out into the backyard.
Soon after, the people inside heard gunshots, and they called 911.
When Will County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they found the woman in the back yard, covered in blood. She had been shot multiple times and was airlifted to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
The woman was stabilized, and able to talk to detectives after she was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The sheriff's office said three were brought in for questioning and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
