Little Village Motorcycle Crash Leaves Driver Dead
CHICAGO (STMW) - A motorcyclist was killed Friday during a wreck in the Little Village neighborhood.
It happened at 7 p.m. at 2423 S. Pulaski Rd., said an Ogden District police sergeant.
The victim, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Ramon Hernandez, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a parked vehicle, which the bike bounced off of before striking a moving vehicle, Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said.
It was not known why the driver and sole occupant of the bike crashed and no citations were issued to the other driver, Perez said.
Pulaski is a two-way street there but it was not known immediately which direction Hernandez was going.
Hernandez, 23, of the 2100 block of South Fairfield Ave., was pronounced dead at 8:20 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
An autopsy conducted Saturday for Hernandez, , found that he died of multiple injuries caused by a motorcycle accident and his death was ruled an accident, according to the medial examiner's office.
