Ventura: 'Respect Is Something That Is Earned'
(WSCR) Less than 24 hours after surprisingly being named the White Sox's new manager, Robin Ventura jumped on 670 The Score to discuss his new gig.
Ventura said he wasn't contacted by GM Kenny Williams until after Ozzie Guillen left the team and said he was surprised to see him go.
"I figured Ozzie was probably there another eight to 10 years so that wasn't really on the radar," Ventura said on The Boers and Bernstein Show. "I think getting back into the organization was something that could down the road lead to different positions but initially was never about being the manager."
