(WSCR) The White Sox have been atop the A.L. Central for 116 days this season.
Still, the underlying theme of the season has been the lack of support from White Sox nation. During Wednesday night's White Sox-Indians game, Indian radio broadcaster Tom Hamilton rips Sox fans for not showing up to support their team.
"Now remember, kids in Detroit go to school, too - 32,000 at Comerica tonight, 20,000 in Chicago," Hamilton said. "The White Sox just have not caught the fancy of this city, for whatever reason. The White Sox themselves, when you talk to them, they don't want to go on record, but they are so frustrated and so disappointed. They are not going to draw 2 million this year for a club that has been in first for most of the year."
