Lions Cut DE Vanden Bosch
(CBS) In a move that may perk the interest of several NFL teams, the Lions have cut 34-year-old defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch.
The move to cut Vanden Bosch, who was entering the final year of his contract, will save Detroit $7 million in cash and $4.96 million in cap space.
Though he still may have something to offer, Vanden Bosch's production has declined recently. In 2012, he registered 3.5 sacks and was rated as the worst 4-3 defensive end in the league by Pro Football Focus.
In 2011, however, he totaled eight sacks while playing 777 snaps.
