Lincolnshire Police Apprehend 3 Armed Robbery Suspects
(CBS) – Police in north suburban Lincolnshire took three armed robbery suspects into custody Wednesday evening following a traffic stop and foot chase.
Buffalo Grove Police received a call around 7:30 p.m. about three armed robbers who had held up a business in the 1500 block of North Barclay Road. The suspects had entered the business, restrained an employee, stole property, and drove away in a U-Haul truck.
Lincolnshire officers spotted the U-Haul near Aptakisic Road and Milwaukee Avenue a short time later, and began following it. Police said the truck then crashed into three other vehicles, and the suspects jumped out and abandoned the truck.
Police began searching the area, with help from canine units and a helicopter. By 9:30 p.m., police announced they had apprehended three subjects.
Police said no injuries were reported, and their investigation continues.
No charges have been announced as of Thursday morning.
