Lincoln Park Store Hit By Burglars For 3rd Time In 2 Weeks
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An outdoor sporting goods store in Lincoln Park has become a popular target for smash-and-grab burglars.
Three tall windows were covered with plywood Wednesday morning at Moosejaw, 1901 N. Clybourn Av., after three separate burglaries in two weeks, most recently just before sunrise on Wednesday.
Responding to an alarm call around 6 a.m., police arrived to find clothes hangers and a winter coat on the sidewalk on the Kenmore Avenue side of the building, next to other windows that had been smashed in previous break-ins.
Manager Ryan Gibson said he was doing inventory Wednesday morning, so he wasn't sure yet how much merchandise was stolen on Wednesday.
Burglars also hit the store on Christmas morning and on Dec. 16.
