Like Regular Folks, Preckwinkle Worries About Health Coverage
CHICAGO (WBBM) - Even though she won last week's election for Cook County Board president, Ald. Toni Preckwinkle doesn't want to leave the City Council until early December so she can deal with an all too common problem: Making sure she has no gap in her health insurance.
Preckwinkle tells the Chicago Sun-Times her husband, Zeus Preckwinkle, contracted a lung infection in the Philippines and she try to make sure there's no insurance gap between her aldermanic and county board jobs.
She also says she needs to wrap up a real estate project.
Preckwinkle will be sworn in as board president Dec. 6.
