Lightning strikes roof of Joliet middle school, sparking fire
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Lightning is being blamed for a fire at a middle school in Joliet.
Firefighters responded to Timber Ridge Middle School for a report of smoke and flames coming from the roof.
Officials say lightning struck the school's roof, sparking the insulation between the shingles and the metal roof.
Crews quickly put out the flames before it could spread.
No one was hurt.
