Lightning, Hail Possible In Weekend Storms
CHICAGO (STMW) - The rain that moved into the Chicago area late Friday could soak the city all weekend, and possibly into next week.
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely after 7 a.m., and some of the storms could produce cloud-to-ground lightning and small hail, according to the National Weather Service's website. The storms are more likely near Lake Michigan Saturday morning and will move throughout the Chicago area as the day continues.
Another thunderstorm is possible early Sunday, and more than a quarter-inch of rain is possible, the weather service said.
Showers are "likely" to continue Sunday, and the weather service said there is a chance of rain through Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to be between the low-50s and mid-60s, according to the weather service.
