Libertyville School Choir Performs At The Vatican
VATICAN CITY (WBBM) -- A north suburban high school choir sang on one of the biggest stages of their lives Sunday.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Lisa Fielding reports, 82 students from Libertyville High School sang four songs during Sunday Mass at the historical St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

The singers rehearsed night and day for the Lenten Mass, led by choir director Jeff Brown, TribLocal reported.
The group has been traveling with Witte Travel and Tours of Grand Rapids, Mich. The travel firm's contact with the music staff at the Vatican secured the scheduled performances.
Pope Benedict XVI was not present for the performance, but the young singers were trilled just the same, TribLocal reported.
The choir students are given the opportunity every two years to go on a trip at their own expense.
Choir members also will perform hour-long concerts near Florence and Venice.
