Letters To Santa Available At Chicago's Main Post Office
CHICAGO (CBS) -- 3,000 have already picked up "Letters to Santa" at the main post office and one group so liked the idea that it's become an annual project with a $25,000 budget. WBBM's John Cody has more.

Matt Beresh is part of "There really is a Santa Claus", four who raise money and then answer post office letter requests personally.
"This is a letter from a 14-year-old boy that says he is being raised by a single parent and knows his mom can't afford gifts if you could grant him one wish he just wants clothes and a robe for his mother and 'a vacuum cleaner so my mother won't have to sweep all of the time,'" said Beresh.
Beresh says his wife Jennifer Jones started out with one post office letter to Santa and things grew from there. Now a stack of holiday requests is ready and waiting for anyone willing at the main post office on Harrison at the Chicago River.
They call Neecchi Tunious the "chief elf" – told CBS 2's Jim Williams more children than ever are not thinking of themselves.
"Children are asking for things for their parents, cause their parents have lost their jobs. They've lost their homes, their shelter," said Tunious.
