Leshoure Still Focused On Being Top RB In Draft
Mikel Leshoure spent three seasons competing with his Fighting Illini teammates against other top college football programs. Now he's competing against one of the best running backs from the SEC.
Leshoure and Alabama's Mark Ingram are widely accepted as the top two running backs available in this month's NFL Draft. While Ingram may have a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship, Leshoure thinks that in a head-to-head battle, he's right there with him.

"At the end of the day, Mark Ingram comes from an organization who's watched every weekend across the nation," Leshoure said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "[He] had a lot more exposure than I did. After watching film, you know, people are getting to see that I can do all the things that Ingram can do."
Scouts and NFL coaches have described Leshoure as a one-cut running back with tremendous speed to the edge.
"I definitely feel like that describes my game," Leshoure said. "I feel like I can get north and south fast, and as quickly as possible. I'm happy that people are acknowledging that and that my name in is the loop to be the number one back coming out of the draft."
