Lerner: 'Shocked' If Tiger Isn't In Contention For Masters
(WSCR) We're one day away from the start of the most prestigious golf tournament of the year.
The Masters begins Thursday, and the eyes of the golf world will focus in on one main player - Tiger Woods.
Woods hasn't won a Major since the U.S. Open in 2008 before the sex scandal that temporarily derailed his career. Two week ago, though, Woods won his first PGA Tour event in 30 months.
"I would be shocked if Tiger's not there on Sunday afternoon," Rich Lerner of the Golf Channel told The McNeil and Spiegel Show.

Woods has 14 Majors, just four behind the legendary Jack Nicklaus.
"(Tiger is) only in his mid 30s," Lerner said. "He's 36 years old. Nicklaus won four Majors from the age of 38 on. Tiger is right there on a pace to catch Nicklaus if he can put this thing back together. The question that remains is how good is the competition right now and will they rise up, look him in the eye and punch back."
