Latinos Push U.S. Rep. Lipinski For Immigration Reform At Town Hall
ORLAND PARK, Ill. (CBS) -- About 100 Latino immigrants packed a town hall meeting held by Congressman Dan Lipinski in Orland Park today pressing him on the issue of immigration reform, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.
It was a Mother's Day message the women sought to deliver to Congressman Dan Lipinski to get him off the fence on immigration reform.

"Yesterday was Mexican Mother's Day and tomorrow is Mother's Day in the U.S. so we are here because of that to remind him that every day there is thousands of people being deported. A lot of them are mothers," said Mayra Lopez from the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
"Immigrants come here for a better life. We are good people. We do want to progress in this country and we are very limited as to how we can do that because we don't have a legal system that allows us to do that. So that is what we want him to understand," said Lopez.
Lipinski, she says, was not committing to supporting the cause.
