Latino Politicians Call For Large, Peaceful Protest Of Donald Trump Rally At UIC Friday
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Latino elected officials and activists are calling for a vocal, but peaceful, protest when Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump gives a planned speech in Chicago on Friday, reports WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore.
GOP hopeful Donald Trump has called for deporting illegal immigrants and once urged a temporary ban on travel by Muslims to the U.S.

Democratic Congressman Luis Gutierrez is making a call for Latinos and others to protest outside the UIC Pavilion Friday where Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech.
"We will not allow Donald Trump to come to Chicago without raising our voices to denounce his bigotry, his hatred, and his prejudice," Gutierrez says. "Chicago is a city that is unified and works together."
15th Ward Alderman Raymond Lopez says it should be a large and peaceful rally.
"Together, we will trump hate in this city when it arrives on Friday," Lopez says.
The Illinois primary is March 15.
