Candidates must file their nomination by the end of the day Monday.
The Chicago Board of Elections confirms that Meeks has yet to file. He is expected to do so on Monday afternoon.
Opponents Carol Moseley Braun, Gery Chico, Danny Davis, Rahm Emanuel, Miguel del Valle and the Rev. Wilfredo de Jesus have all filed their petitions. So has community organizer Patrica Van Pelt-Watkins, who announced her candidacy Monday.
The Board of Elections hopes to have its final list of candidates by Monday evening.
