Lance Armstrong To Be Interviewed By Oprah
(WSCR) In the wake of his lifetime ban from cycling and the doping charges hurled against him, Lance Armstrong will be interviewed on television by Oprah Winfrey next week.
According to a report, the interview will air on The Oprah Winfrey Network on Jan. 17.
It will be the first interview the cyclist has conducted since receiving his ban and being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.
"Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career," the network said in a statement.
Reports indicate Armstrong has told associates and anti-doping officials he is considering admitting to the use of using banned drugs.
