Lake Zurich Schools Placed On Lock Down After Weapons Report
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Reports that a student may have brought weapons to a school in Lake Zurich prompted officials to place two campuses on lock down on Tuesday.
A student at Lake Zurich Middle School South, 435 W. Cuba Road, was apprehended by authorities, and all the students are safe, school officials said.
There were no injuries, officials said.
The lock down at the middle school and Issac Fox Elementary School, 395 W. Cuba Road, went into effect at 10:30 a.m.
The lock down at Fox was eased around midday, but the students remained on lock down at the middle school as police investigated, police said.
School District 95 officials said no weapons "were used at any time during this incident."
No further details were immediately available.
