Konerko Meeting With Reinsdorf Monday
Jon Heyman of SI.com tweeted that Paul Konerko is scheduled to meet with White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf Monday and a deal could be final. It's looking like a $13 million per season deal for Konerko, but Monday should bring the confirmed news.
The $13 million per year for Konerko combined with the $56 million, four-year deal for Adam Dunn adds up for these heavy hitters. Resigning Konerko means Dunn could spend most of his time as the designated hitter, not his preference.
