Konerko Maintains Lead In All-Star Voting

(CBS) White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko maintained a lead in the MLB All-Star Game Final Vote as of 3 p.m. CT, Major League Baseball announced Tuesday.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino continued to hold a lead in the National League.

Konerko is among five finalists for the final spot on the American League all-star roster. Other candidates include Tigers catcher Victor Martinez, Royals left fielder Alex Gordon, Orioles center fielder Adam Jones and Rays second baseman Ben Zobrist.

In an effort to get Konerko to the All-Star Game, the White Sox have launched the "Paul-Star" campaign, encouraging fans to vote for the first baseman while also offering ticket specials. As part of the campaign, premium upper box tickets are available for $16, upper box tickets for $14 and upper reserved tickets for $12 for tonight's 7:10 p.m. game and tomorrow's 1:10 p.m. game vs. the Royals.

The White Sox are also offering codes for discounted tickets against the Tigers later this month and against the Yankees in August in exchange for voting.

You can vote for Konerko here until 3 p.m. CT Thursday.
