Konerko Has Wrist Procedure; Morel, Danks Remain On DL
(CBS) Paul Konerko was a late scratch from Tuesday night's White Sox lineup because he had a small chip flushed in his left wrist.
Manager Robin Ventura said Konerko should return to the lineup Wednesday night. The first baseman had a similar procedure done last season when the chip was bothering him.
Meanwhile, don't expect third baseman Brent Morel or left-hander John Danks to the return from the disabled list in the near future. Morel continues to have minor issues with his back, according to Ventura, and the team wants him to be 100 percent before they bring him back to Chicago.
Danks will pitch in a rehab start in Charlotte later this week after throwing another side session. Jose Quintana will make his third start of the season Wednesday night in Danks' place.
