Konerko Expected Back From Concussion Friday
(CBS) Paul Konerko is expected to return to the White Sox lineup Friday in Kansas City, manager Robin Ventura said Wednesday.
With the team in Toronto, Konerko has remained in Chicago working out since doctors cleared him for activity Monday. The first baseman suffered a concussion August 7 and was placed on the 7-day disabled list last Friday.
He is eligible to come off the disabled list Friday and Ventura expects him to be available. He said Konerko will likely be the designated hitter for his first few games back.
