Knife-Wielding Robber May Have Struck Again In Chicago, Elmwood Park
(CBS) -- Chicago businesses are on alert after a string of robberies by a suspect armed with a knife.
The robber may have struck as many as four times in the past few weeks.
Chicago police say the latest attack happened Tuesday at a Dunkin Donuts in the North Austin neighborhood.
In each case, the robber enters the store pretending to be a customer and then pulls a knife and demands money.
Detectives say the same man used a knife to rob Londo Mondo, a Lincoln Park clothing store last week.
A clerk was cut on the hand during a similar robbery at the Green Goddess in Wicker Park on on May 6.
Also, a man with a knife robbed a bagel shop in Elmwood Park on Wednesday. Detectives there spoke to Chicago police to see if the cases are connected.
