Kittner: Illinois Should Play In Bowl Game
(WSCR) In the wake of the firing of head football coach Ron Zook, the team is meeting Tuesday to decide whether or not it will accept a bowl invitation.
The Illini's season was -- without question -- the tale of two halves. Illinois started the season 6-0 before dropping its last six games
"I think you go to a bowl game," former Illinois quarterback and current radio analyst Kurt Kittner told The Mully and Hanley Show. "Why wouldn't you? I think for some of the younger guys it's important to get those snaps in and get ready for next year. You're going to have about 10 or 15 practices that you can take advantage of. If you're a senior, or a guy that's going to leave early, maybe you have a different opinion."
