Kirk Hinrich To Sit Out Against Pelicans
(CBS) Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich will miss his third consecutive game Saturday night as he deals with a left hamstring strain. Chicago hosts New Orleans at the United Center.
"He's just concentrating on his rehab," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Hopefully, he'll be ready soon.''
Hinrich injured the hamstring in Monday's home win against the Raptors, then sat out wins against the Wizards and Lakers.
As has been the case, Doug McDermott (right knee) is also out tonight and not expected back for another few weeks. Otherwise, everyone is good to go for the Bulls, Thibodeau said.
With Hinrich out, Aaron Brooks and E'Twaun Moore will continue to see bigger roles.
"We need them," Thibodeau said. "Aaron has played great all year. That's not a new revelation. When you look closely at his stats, he's arguably our second-best player in the fourth quarter. He's had a terrific season for us. E'Twaun has played well in the past couple games. And actually Tony (Snell) has played well. He hasn't scored, but he's played well when he's been on the floor. That's a good sign.''
