Kennedy Traffic Disrupted By Couch In Road
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Traffic on the inbound Kennedy Expressway was disrupted Thursday morning by a couch lying in the roadway.
During the 5 a.m. hour just as the midnight rush began, the couch was found in the inbound local lanes at Kedzie Avenue, CBS 2's Mary Kay Kleist reported.
It was not clear whether the couch was dropped from a vehicle, or if it got there another way.
No accidents were reported as a result of the couch in the road.
Illinois Department of Transportation crews responded to the scene, and the piece of furniture was removed by the 6 a.m. hour.
