Kane Undergoes Successful Wrist Surgery
CHICAGO (CBS) Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a scaphoid fracture in his left wrist, the team announced.
"The surgery went very well and we anticipate a full recovery," team physician Dr. Michael Terry said in a statement. "Patrick will begin doing modified preseason workouts shortly and we hope for a full return to activity in six to eight weeks."
Kane said last week that the injury originated during the regular season but worsened during off-season workouts. He expects to be fully healed by the time training camp starts in the fall.
