Kane Just Being Young And Single
While Patrick Kane has picked up his play in the last few game, six points in five games (2G, 4A), he's has still gotten off to a somewhat slow start.
"I don't think that's fair," Steve Konroyd said of growing sentiment that Kane's lifestyle is hurting his performance on the ice. "I don't know if there's a lot going on that I'm unaware of. There was a couple of incidents: the cab incident in Buffalo and the incident out in Vancouver. But that's just a young, single guy being young and single."

The slow start for the Blackhawks, and for Kane, more than likely has to do with the short offseason and adjusting to a new roster. And not, like many people have suggested, that the team partied too hard when celebrating last year's Stanley Cup Championship.
"I think [Kane will] get it going better than he has," Konroyd said. "He hasn't been bad, but I think he'd be the first to tell you he's capable of more. I think there's a lot of guys on this team who would tell you that they're capable of more."
