Jury Gets Mob Case
CHICAGO (AP) -- Jurors in Chicago have begun deliberating the fate of a reputed mobster accused of orchestrating the bombing of a video gaming company's offices.
Closing arguments in the six-week trial of Michael "The Large Guy" Sarno and four co-defendants wrapped up Monday.
Jurors deliberated for about an hour before heading home. They're set to resume deliberations Tuesday morning.
Prosecutors say Sarno and his alleged crew wanted to send a message to C&S Coin Operated Amusements not to encroach on Sarno's turf.
So they say Sarno gave the order, and the video game distributor's offices in Berwyn were bombed.
Sarno and the four others have pleaded not guilty to federal racketeering charges.
