Julius Peppers in highest-paid athletes list
SI has just released their annual Fortune 50 of the highest-paid American athletes with, of course, Tiger Woods in the #1 spot for the seventh year in a row.
Chicago contributed to the list with the Bears signing of Julius Peppers. The defensive end came in at the 36th highest-paid athlete with $20 million for 2010. Comparing this to last year's list, Peppers also came in at 36, but with just $16.6 million while on the Panthers.
The Bears signed Julius Peppers to a six-year deal with a maximum of $91 million over that period. The deal also lands Peppers $40.5 million over the first three years.
